Overall influenza activity is up this week, DHEC says

There have actually been 3 flu-related deaths this season in South Carolina and they were all in the Upstate, according to the state Department of Health and Environmental Control. 2 of the deaths were reported today. Two of the people who died were more than 50 years old and one was 65 plus, data shows.
